Opportunities exist for a Mine Coal Preparation Sampler to join our team at our Lake Vermont site in Dysart. This role would suit a candidate wishing to pursue a career in the industry. Full training will be provided.

Position Description:

  • You will be directly responsible for conducting routine sample preparation and coal testing
  • Conduct a wide range of tests using manual, semi-automated and fully automated techniques
  • If the test is automated you may be required to analyse data and report results
  • Permanent day roster 7/7 and 12 hour shifts with occasional need to cover night shifts


Position Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment is highly advantageous.
  • Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.
  • Must live locally in the Dysart/Moranbah region or within travelling distance. There is also a bus that will take you to the camp site that leaves from Rockhampton.
  • Previous reporting experience within the coal industry is highly desirable
  • A QLD C Class drivers license and own transport (necessary)
  • Be reliable and able to work the occasional overtime
  • An interest in gaining strong work experience in the Minerals industry
