We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crushing Plant Technician to join our team. Entry level role with training provided. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our crushing and screening equipment to prepare samples for analysis. You will be based at our Wingfield, Adelaide Mineral Processing site.

Position Description:

  • Crushing and grinding mineral, rock, and soil samples to the required particle size using various crushing and milling equipment.
  • Performing sample screening using sieves and shaker tables to separate samples into different size fractions.
  • Safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move samples between the crushing, screening, and storage areas.
  • Ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated according to manufacturer specifications and quality protocols.
  • Documenting all sample preparation activities and maintaining detailed records.
  • Collaborating with the laboratory team to ensure that sample preparation meets the required specifications and turnaround times.
  • Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.


Position Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and maintain crushing and screening equipment.
  • Physically fit, prepared to carry out manual tasks and able to lift up to 15 kilo sample bags of Rocks, Sand or Core
  • Previous experience preferred, but training will also be provided to new candidates
  • Proficient in the use of material handling equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the laboratory team.
  • Commitment to safety and a strong understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Pass a full Medical that includes a drug and alcohol test
