We are seeking applicants for the position of Sample Preparation Assistant, who are excited by the challenges of our business and variety this role offers. You will be based at Sorbonne Crescent in Canning Vale, WA and will be responsible for preparing mining samples for testing using specialised equipment. You will be fully trained in the Sample Preparation process of predominantly ore samples.

Position Description:

  • Entry level role with training provided
  • Casual positions
  • Free onsite parking
  • Pay rates above award
  • Sample processing and handling -Sorting, weighing, crushing and milling of samples
  • Machine operating - Crushing, Pulverisers and Robotic Mill Cells


Position Requirements:

  • Reliable and ability to work a shift roster
  • Physically fit, prepared to carry out manual tasks and able to lift up to 15 kilo sample bags of Rocks, Sand or Core
  • Have the ability to follow set procedures and good attention to detail
  • Be willing to work as part of a team with a high focus on quality & safety
  • Experience working in a production, processing or warehouse environment would be beneficial

Shift work roster:

  • Monday to Friday
    • 8 hour rotating shift roster
      • Day shift (6.00am - 2.00pm)
      • Afternoon shift (2.00pm - 10.00pm)
      • Night shift (10.00pm - 6.00am)

**Full availability across all shifts is required

**Roster may change to 12 hours shifts in future to meet business requirements
