We're looking for a hands-on Facilities Caretaker to lead the care and upkeep of this large, vibrant lifestyle community. You'll also play a key role in managing contractors, supervising team members and resolving issues with professionalism and care. Position Description:

  • Full-time permanent role | Monday to Friday |6am - 2pm
  • Maintain and enhance large-scale gardens, grounds and amenities
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across the site
  • Supervise contractors and team members reporting directly to you
  • Ensure safety compliance and uphold high operational standards
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with homeowners
  • Manage community security and operational budgets
  • Participate in regular Caretaker meetings and complete required reporting

Position Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing large, scaled gardens and grounds as well as experience in general maintenance and amenity cleaning
  • Background in caretaking or maintenance within lifestyle communities, retirement living, schools, or hotels/resorts
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in engaging with people
  • Experience in team supervision and contractor coordination
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • ACDC licence for weed spraying (or willingness to obtain)
  • Basic computer proficiency and current First Aid certificate (refresher available)
  • Full driver's licence and own transport to/from work (work ute provided during work hours)
